David Webber—Pastor

Surrendered to the call of the gospel ministry in 1972 at the age of 16 years old.   In 1974 he was licensed to preach by Little Flock Baptist Church in Longview, Texas.  He graduated from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in History.  He was ordained in December of 1980 by Faith Baptist Church.  After 1980, he served at Faith Baptist in Longview and then for a number of years at Grace Baptist Church in Tyler, Texas  by teaching Sunday School and filling the pulpit whenever needed.  In February of 1994 he was called by Faith Baptist to be their pastor and continues there to the present.

James Webber—Associate Pastor

Bro. James was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He graduated from the University of Arkansas in 1951.  Later that same year he surrendered his life to the call of the gospel.  In 1954, while attending the BMA Theological Seminary in Jacksonville, Texas, he was ordained by the First Baptist Church of Jacksonville.  He graduated from BMA Seminary in 1959 with a Bachelor of Divinity Degree and again in 1973 with a Master of Divinity Degree.  He has served in pastoral ministry now for over 55 years and currently teaches the Adult Sunday School Class of Faith Baptist Church.

Mary Webber—Children’s Sunday School teacher and Church pianist

Mary was born in Palestine, Texas and was raised most of her life in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.  She graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School in 1974 and then from East Texas State University in 1981.  She has served in the capacity of Children’s Sunday School  teacher since 2004 and as church pianist since 2007.  She has also served faithfully as a pastor’s wife during her husband’s ministry.
